What is the biggest mistake you made as a teen that you warn others about?

I married my high school sweetheart. It was a huge mistake, and I tell any teens who will listen that it’s a foolish thing to do.

Even worse, she was my first and only sexual partner until the divorce at age 27.

You should also not marry the first person with whom you had sex. People change a lot when they get into their 20s, and they meet lots of new and interesting people.

This is true of everybody. Teens are so sure they’re completely in love and it will last forever, but things change rapidly after you turn 20.
