【ロサンゼルス＝西島太郎】米カリフォルニア州北部オークランドの私立オイコス大学で２日、男が銃を乱射する事件があり、７人が死亡、３人が負傷した。


警察は、大学周辺のショッピングセンターで韓国籍の男（４３）を拘束、逮捕した。

「押し紙」とは
　

新聞社が販売店に一方的に送り付け（押し付け）、しかも卸代金を徴収する、だれも読まない無駄に刷られた新聞のこと

たとえば1,000部しか配達していないのに、1,500部を送り付け、残りの500部は業者に回収される

この500部が「押し紙」だ

公正取引委員会は「新聞業における特定の不公正な取引方法」のなかで、明確に禁じている

「押し紙撲滅」を掲げる弁護団（江上武幸弁護士ら７名）は2007年11月1日、読売新聞本社に対して「他の販売店の残紙についても、減紙の処理をして」などと記した内容証明文書を送付した。

「押し紙」を販売店に搬入しないよう迫ったのだ。それに連動してＹＣ大牟田などは、先月まで仕入れ部数全体の約4割にもなっていた読売新聞の押し紙を排除した業務報告書を本社に提出、読売も飲まざるを得なかった。


水増しした購読部数で国や自治体に不当な政治的圧力をかけ、あるいは　不当に高い広告掲載の代金をスポンサーに要求　など　まさに暴力団顔負け　の仕業を読売はやっていたのだ
