脳性まひのエンドステージ（脳死のこと？）
内モンゴルの2歳女児の腎臓と肝臓がこれから摘出され、
天津で待機する2人の子供に移植される
病院のスタッフ総出でこの幼子に最敬礼だ
両親には苦渋の選択だっただろう
心臓が鼓動している、温かいわが子の命を断つ決断をすることはわが身を引き裂かれるよりも辛い
日本でも2010年施行の改正臓器移植法で15歳未満の子供からの臓器提供が可能となり 先日6歳未満の男児が脳死と判定され、心臓などが、他の人に移植された
これからも子供の脳死移植に対する信頼を培うためには、脳死判定の厳密な適用と事後の詳細な検証作業が欠かせないだろう

“Instead of cremating our daughter to ashes, we decided to donate her organs to save other children,” said Wang Xiaofei, the girl’s mother. “We called her Xiwang because we wanted to give the hope of life to other children who need our help.”
At about 5:30 p.m. June 9, as the girl’s life was coming to an end, Xiwang’s father kissed his daughter goodbye and watched as she was sent into an operating room at Chifeng City Hospital. Doctors removed Xiwang’s kidney and liver and sent the organs to Tianjin, where two recipient children were waiting.
